On
this evening, March 11, 2000, it is an honour for the
University of Toronto students along with your colleagues
Kathy Armstrong and Nexus to share our appreciation of
the Ghanaian singing, dancing and drumming traditions
with you at the Faculty of Music MacMillan Theatre.
You
have influenced the lives of many of us and we are grateful
for your presence in this University community and in
Canada. We wish you and your family many blessings now
and in the future as we celebrate your continued residence
with us here at the Faculty of Music. Please accept our
gratitude and deep appreciation.
In
admiration and affection,
Doreen Rao, PhD., Elmer Iseler Chair in Conducting, Director
of Choral Programs, University of Toronto (March 11, 2000)
